We must aspire to mediocrisy.
What drives average people, to come to average jobs with average pay, and return to the average comforts of an average home and an average spouse?
Don't study the cream; study these folks. It is these who are the salt of the corporate world. It is these seemingly undriven critters who will keep the corporate juggernaut rolling.

'We must aspire to mediocrity.'- Hell no!... The average person aspires for an above average life. If you dream of greatness, you'll end up mediocre. If you start aspiring for mediocrity... you'll end up exactly where you are right now. And well, if that's where you want to be, then at least aspire to be the median, not the mean... you never know how skewed the distribution may be...
"The middlebrow is the man, or woman, of middlebred intelligence who ambles and saunters now on this side of the hedge, now on that, in pursuit of no single object, neither art itself nor life itself, but both mixed indistinguishably, and rather nastily, with money, fame, power, or prestige."
