Yea, Stevie…. It’s great to begin with the end in mind, in all life-related aspects, save one.
A and I were talking about relationships, fall-outs, and how easy or difficult it is to get over some of them. I have always maintained that if it’s easy to reconcile to growing apart, the relationship was never meant to be for keeps. And if it is for keeps, there is no way it should fall apart. (It is a different matter that piece of sagacious crap never helped anyone). No denying though, that with every bad relationship, the next one starts with a positive advantage on a comparative scale, that it would never have had, if one were to start on ZBB levels! But, most troubles in a relationship start, when either party starts looking for closure and commitment-basically, the end (:-().
And then, there is the X-factor. How can you continue to “just be friends” with someone, if you imagined spending a substantial part, if not the rest of your life, with? Try more than civil behaviour with an ex, and you will realize that the annoying things that caused you to drift apart, continue to co-exist with the forces that caused the attraction in the first place. What you choose to gloss over decides the course that the “friendship” will take.
……..A lazy Sunday and copious TV viewing have not only stimulated Dear Dee’s advisory services, but have also led to the conclusion that life is in the hands, I mean, cards, of a rather pretty Tarot reader on a (ahem) news channel. I promise to be regular and improve TRP’s, lady, if you could only be so kind to tell me, where I can get the winding wooden staircase , which fits my humble tenement and a creeper to go with it. It turns out that as my star is on the ascent (see, get the connection, now?), objectifying the planetary juxtaposition in this form and meditating (?) on these non-rickety stairs shall just further my case. I do not believe I noticed any disclaimer before, after or during the show…. So, hey chick, you better be right or there is a badly drafted legal notice coming your way.
The end in mind, always . Now, just show me the stairs. And how many steps, did you say:-)?

it helps if you have a fuzzy/abstract definition of the end in mind to accomodate contradictions.
Stevie says unclear end=no end at all.
Not me, Stevie.
my point is related to your earlier stuff abt myopia .. given that most of the time you live in a myopic configuration its almost impossible to have a concrete long-term objective. so the best you can do is have a fuzzy objective and hope that it becomes more well-defned along the way.
try "Stairway to Heaven" by M/s Page and Plant with baby Bonham (ok, ok JPJ too). Has been known to heal countless hearts

Thanks for the metaphoric stairway :-).I am still looking for the wooden one..5 days is all the time I have to appease Fate and I see no help on that front.
On Healing -there is nothing that sleeping, beetching and The Cardigans (them Love Fools) hasn't solved.

Dearest...u oughta patent fuzzy blobbiness. Why begin with the end in mind--well, it doesn't hurt to know where one is headed...unless the journey rather than the end matters:)
Moment-driven existence is over-hyped!
NT:
"Yes there are two paths you can go by , but in the long run
There's still time to change the road you're on".My Lord Keynes, though, never believed in the Long Run.
Myopia, fuzziness and hope. How "optimal" a configuration is that, to begin something?
5 days to what? we belong to the extra bright bulb category, if it is supposed to be obvious already
It is a weekly tarot reading.
Bulb losing shine or fused, yet?
flicker... flicker...poof...
(think of the philips ad in which a palm reader says..."phooture is andhera...)
"Myopia, fuzziness and hope. How "optimal" a configuration is that, to begin something?"
you will never know if something is optimal or not .. thats a curse we have to live with ..
Somehow, in the midst of all this philosophy, everyone seems to be missing the point, which is:
